Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
3Strand LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the PianoOps mobile application ("the App").
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the App.
PianoOps is designed to help piano technicians and businesses manage their operations, including appointments, customer information, and piano maintenance records.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of personal and business information when you use PianoOps:
Account Information:
When you sign up for an account, we collect your first name, last name, email address (used as your username), phone number, password, and whether you are a member of the Piano Technicians Guild (PTG).
Business and Customer Data:
The App allows you to input and manage business-related information such as your business name, phone number, address, customer names, phone numbers, addresses, appointment details, and piano maintenance records.
Contacts Import:
If you choose to import contacts, PianoOps will request access to your device's contacts. This access is optional and requires your explicit permission. Only the contacts you select are imported and stored within your account. No other contact data is accessed, uploaded, or shared.
Technical Information:
We may collect limited technical data such as app version, device type, and error logs, solely to ensure functionality and improve stability. We do not collect unique device identifiers.
3. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used only for the operation and improvement of PianoOps, including to:
- Create and maintain your user account.
- Manage appointments, customers, and piano maintenance data.
- Allow you to import contact information for easier customer management.
- Provide technical support and respond to inquiries.
- Maintain the security and integrity of our systems.
We do not use your data for advertising, marketing, or tracking purposes.
4. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or business data with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.
We may use trusted third-party service providers solely to operate and maintain the App, such as for cloud hosting, authentication, or database management.
For example, we currently use Hostinger and DigitalOcean to securely store and process user data in the United States. These providers act as data processors on our behalf and are bound by strict confidentiality and security obligations.
At this time, all user data is stored and processed within the United States. If we engage additional trusted providers in the future, they will be required to meet the same confidentiality, security, and data protection standards and comply with applicable U.S. privacy laws.
5. Payments
If you choose to purchase a PianoOps subscription, your payment will be processed securely through Stripe, our trusted third-party payment provider.
When you tap the subscription button, you will be redirected to a secure, Stripe-hosted checkout page to complete your purchase. We do not collect, store, or have access to your full payment information (such as credit card numbers or bank details).
All payment transactions are handled directly by Stripe in accordance with its own Privacy Policy.
6. Data Storage and Security
All data, including account and business information, is encrypted both in transit (using TLS/SSL) and at rest (using LUKS — Linux Unified Key Setup).
We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.
If you request deletion of your account or data, we will verify your identity and process the deletion within a reasonable period, typically within 30 days.
We are also developing new features that will allow you to directly delete or download your data from within the App. These capabilities will be announced and reflected in this Privacy Policy when available.
While we take strong measures to protect your information, no security system is entirely secure. We continually work to enhance our safeguards and maintain the protection of your data.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account and associated business/customer data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide our services.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. We will verify your identity before fulfilling deletion requests.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 years of age.
If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will promptly delete it.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations.
If we make material changes, we will notify users by updating the "Last Updated" date above and posting the revised policy in the App or on our website.
